You've just finished your Whole Class Ensemble programme (Wider Ops)...

 ...So what next?!

Over half the pupils that learn an instrument through WCE choose to continue learning in years 5, 6 and beyond!

There are loads of exciting opportunities waiting for you and your instrument!

You can continue having lessons on your instrument in years 5 & 6 in smaller groups.  Many schools have instrumental teachers who visit school once a week to provide lessons.

Schools can contact the Music Service if they haven't already got instrumental lessons set up for pupils post-WCE but would like to do so. Email janet.wallace@nottinghammusichub.org.uk.

One of the most exciting things you can do when playing an instrument is join a band or an orchestra.

You can do this as soon as you've finished your WCE year.  There are 6 Area Bands across the city. You can also join a band or orchestra at Nottingham Music School which meets on Saturday mornings at The Nottingham Academy. Click here for more info and entry requirements.

Area Bands are after school music clubs for year 4, 5 and 6 students and take place in seven schools across the city.

Keep on learning your instrument and work hard, and you will get the chance to do Music Medals and Exams through the Music Hub's Exam Strategy
