Thursday 17th -  Opera North Billy Budd optional visit (1630 - 2200)



Monday 5th- Christmas in the City @ the Albert Hall  (Not full RHYO, but smaller groups tbc)


Tuesday 13th- Christmas in the City @ the Royal Concert Hall (Full RHYO - 1530 - 2200)



Friday 10th - Light Night (1930 - 2130 tbc)



Saturday 18th - Great Orchestra Experiment Rehearsal (normal rehearsal day, but early start at 9.00)


Tuesday 21st - Great Orchestra Experiment 'Dress Rehearsal' (1800-2100)


Wednesday 22nd - Great Orchestra Experiment Event (0830-1530)



14th-19th - RHYO Residential and Karlsruhe Visit


We are hosting a visit by our partner organisation Jugendorchester Stadt Karlsruhe in July 2017.


From Friday 14th to Monday 17th July, the Jugendorchester Stadt Karlsruhe will be on residential with RHYO in Castleton. The orchestras will then return to Nottingham for a big concert on Tuesday 18th July 2017.

About the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra 



RHYO is made up of students aged 11-19 from  Nottingham and performs across a wide variety of musical styles.  RHYO has recently performed on the main Pavilion stage in Karlsruhe with orchestras from Germany, Rumania and Russia, played to over 2,000 people at Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall, inspired 1,200 city school children working with professional musicians as part of the Great Orchestra Experiment, played underground in the world famous Treak Cliff Cavern, co-created and recorded new music with local bands and singers, featured at major civic events such as the official re-opening of Nottingham Railway station, been featured on national German TV for flashmobbing Das Fest and gained world-wide renown for their performance at the Victoria Centre.



RHYO has a special relationship with youth orchestras from Karlsruhe and Halle, giving members the chance to travel, rehearse and perform with  European musicians.
